# 100-Year-Old Cigar

Aged rum becomes a dark after-dinner drink under Cynar, Bénédictine, peat, bitters, and the lingering aroma of an absinthe-rinsed glass.

Strength: 38% ABV before dilution

- 52.5 ml [Aged rum](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/aged-rum.md)
- 15 ml [Cynar](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/cynar.md)
- 15 ml [Bénédictine](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/benedictine.md)
- 7.5 ml [Islay Scotch whisky](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/islay-scotch-whisky.md)
- 1 dash [Angostura bitters](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/angostura-bitters.md)
- 7.5 ml [Absinthe](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/absinthe.md)

## Method

1. Add the absinthe to a chilled coupe, rotate it to coat the interior, and discard the excess.
2. Stir the remaining ingredients with cubed ice until thoroughly chilled and diluted.
3. Strain into the prepared coupe.
