# 151 Swizzle

Donn Beach's formidable swizzle, driving overproof Demerara rum through lime, sugar, aromatic bitters, and a cool thread of anise.

Strength: 45% ABV before dilution

## Ingredients

- 45 ml [Overproof Demerara rum](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/overproof-demerara-rum.md)
- 15 ml [Fresh lime juice](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/fresh-lime-juice.md)
- 15 ml [Simple syrup](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/simple-syrup.md)
- 1 dash [Angostura bitters](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/angostura-bitters.md)
- 6 drops [Anise spirit](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/anise-spirit.md)

## Glassware

Swizzle cup

## Garnish

- Nutmeg — Freshly grate over the drink.
- Cinnamon stick

## Method

1. Add all the ingredients and 240 ml crushed ice to a blender cup.
2. Flash-blend at high speed for no more than five seconds.
3. Pour unstrained into a chilled flared metal swizzle cup and add more crushed ice to fill.
