# Añejo Highball

Dale DeGroff’s rum highball layers oak, orange, lime, ginger, and bitters into a bright long drink with considerably more structure than a simple buck.

Strength: 18% ABV before dilution

## Ingredients

- 45 ml [Aged rum](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/aged-rum.md)
- 15 ml [Orange curaçao](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/orange-curacao.md)
- 60 ml [Ginger beer](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/ginger-beer.md) — Use cold, freshly opened ginger beer.
- 7.5 ml [Fresh lime juice](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/fresh-lime-juice.md)
- 2 dashes [Angostura bitters](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/angostura-bitters.md)

## Garnish

- Lime wheel — Use one thin fresh wheel.
- Orange slice — Use one thin fresh slice.

## Method

1. Build all the ingredients in a chilled highball filled with cubed ice.
2. Stir gently to combine without losing carbonation.
