# Batanga

Blanco tequila, fresh lime, salt, and cane-sugar cola make a vivid Jalisco highball whose agave, citrus, and savoury edge remain unmistakable.

Strength: 15% ABV before dilution

## Ingredients

- 60 ml [Blanco tequila](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/blanco-tequila.md)
- 15 ml [Fresh lime juice](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/fresh-lime-juice.md)
- 90 ml [Cola](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/cola.md) — Use chilled, full-sugar cane-sweetened cola.

Highball glass

## Garnish

- Salt rim — Use coarse salt.

## Method

1. Run a lime wedge around the rim of a chilled highball glass and coat the rim with coarse salt.
2. Add the fresh lime juice, fill the glass with large ice cubes, and add the blanco tequila.
3. Top with the chilled cola and stir with a clean table knife in the manner of Don Javier Delgado Corona at La Capilla.
