# Canchánchara

Cuban cane spirit, raw honey, lime, and water make a rustic cracked-ice cooler whose simplicity leaves the aguardiente fully exposed.

Strength: 17% ABV before dilution

## Ingredients

- 60 ml [Cuban cane aguardiente](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/cuban-cane-aguardiente.md) — Use Cuban cane aguardiente; cachaça or blanc rhum agricole is the closest practical substitute.
- 15 ml [Fresh lime juice](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/fresh-lime-juice.md)
- 15 ml [Honey](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/honey.md) — Use raw honey.
- 50 ml [Water](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/water.md)

## Glassware

Clay cup

## Garnish

- Lime wedge

## Method

1. Add the honey, water, and fresh lime juice to a clay cup and stir the mixture over the bottom and sides until the honey is fully dissolved.
2. Fill the cup with cracked ice and add the aguardiente.
3. Stir energetically from the bottom upward until cold and integrated.
