# Delmonico No. 1

Cognac gives a Perfect Martini&#39;s split vermouth a small measure of vinous weight while Angostura adds spice, preserving the drink&#39;s useful closeness to its better-known relation.

Strength: 30% ABV before dilution

- 22.5 ml [Dry vermouth](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/dry-vermouth.md)
- 22.5 ml [Sweet vermouth](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/sweet-vermouth.md)
- 2 dashes [Angostura bitters](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/angostura-bitters.md)

## Garnish

- Orange twist — Express the peel oils over the drink and retain the twist.

## Method

1. Stir all ingredients with cubed ice until thoroughly chilled and diluted.
2. Fine-strain into a chilled coupe.
