# Doctor Funk

Ester-rich Jamaican rum, two fresh citrus juices, grenadine, absinthe, and soda make an anise-led sparkling cooler with genuine Samoan ancestry and modern tiki force.

Strength: 20% ABV before dilution

- 15 ml [Fresh lime juice](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/fresh-lime-juice.md)
- 15 ml [Demerara syrup](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/demerara-syrup.md)
- 7.5 ml [Grenadine](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/grenadine.md)
- 7.5 ml [Absinthe](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/absinthe.md)
- 30 ml [Soda water](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/soda-water.md)

## Glassware

Double old fashioned glass

## Garnish

- Pineapple leaf — Use two or three fresh pineapple fronds.

## Method

1. Add all ingredients to a spindle blender with 360 ml crushed ice and four to six small cubed-ice agitators.
2. Flash-blend briefly, then open-pour into a chilled double old fashioned glass, using a gated finish to hold back the larger agitator cubes.
