# Gordon’s Breakfast

Gin, muddled lime and cucumber, sugar, Worcestershire, hot sauce, salt, and pepper make a vivid non-tomato savoury cocktail with breakfast-table nerve.

Strength: 29% ABV before dilution

## Ingredients

- 60 ml [Dry gin](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/dry-gin.md)
- 22.5 ml [Simple syrup](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/simple-syrup.md) — Use a syrup made with equal parts sugar and water.
- 1 whole [Lime](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/lime.md) — Use one small fresh lime and cut it into five chunks.
- 3 slices [Cucumber](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/cucumber.md) — Use three thin fresh slices.
- 1 dash [Worcestershire sauce](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/worcestershire-sauce.md) — Traditional Worcestershire contains fish; check the selected label for wheat and other allergens.
- 1 dash [Hot sauce](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/hot-sauce.md)

## Glassware

Double old fashioned glass

## Garnish

- Cucumber slices — Fan three thin fresh slices over the drink.
- Flaky salt — Use only a small pinch.
- Black pepper — Finish with one light grind.

## Method

1. Muddle the lime, cucumber, syrup, Worcestershire, and hot sauce in a shaker.
2. Add the gin and cracked ice, shake briefly, and open-pour into a chilled double old fashioned glass.
3. Finish with a small pinch each of flaky salt and freshly ground black pepper.
