# Green Beast

Absinthe, lime, cucumber, sugar, and cold water make Charles Vexenat’s long green drink vivid and vegetal rather than merely anise-heavy.

Strength: 9% ABV before dilution

## Ingredients

- 30 ml [Absinthe](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/absinthe.md)
- 30 ml [Fresh lime juice](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/fresh-lime-juice.md)
- 30 ml [Simple syrup](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/simple-syrup.md)
- 120 ml [Water](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/water.md) — Use cold still water.
- 3 slices [Cucumber](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/cucumber.md) — Peel and thinly slice fresh cucumber.

## Garnish

- Cucumber slices — Use three thin peeled slices.

## Method

1. Muddle the cucumber with the syrup in a chilled Collins glass.
2. Add the absinthe and lime juice, fill with cubed ice, and top with the cold water.
