# Hot Toddy

A spare whisky warmer softened with floral honey and scented with the oils of a broad lemon peel.

Strength: 15% ABV before dilution

## Ingredients

- 60 ml [Scotch whisky](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/scotch-whisky.md) — Use a rich Highland or gently smoky Islay Scotch.
- 15 ml [Honey](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/honey.md)
- 90 ml [Water](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/water.md) — Use freshly boiled water.

## Glassware

Irish coffee glass

## Garnish

- Lemon twist — Express a broad peel over the drink, then drop it in.

## Method

1. Preheat an Irish coffee glass with hot water, then discard it.
2. Add the honey and 30 ml of the freshly boiled water, then stir until dissolved.
3. Add the Scotch and remaining 60 ml water, then stir gently.
