# Mauresque

Pastis de Marseille turns pearly and opalescent beneath cold water, while a restrained measure of orgeat rounds its anise and liquorice.

Strength: 7% ABV before dilution

## Ingredients

- 20 ml [Pastis de Marseille](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/pastis-de-marseille.md)
- 10 ml [Orgeat syrup](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/orgeat-syrup.md) — Traditionally contains almond; check the selected product label and refrigerate after opening as directed.
- 100 ml [Water](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/water.md) — Use very cold still water.

## Method

1. Pour the pastis and orgeat into a chilled Collins glass.
2. Add the cold water slowly and watch the pastis louche, then stir once to combine.
3. Add two or three ice cubes last and serve immediately.
