# Michelada

A cold Mexican beer cocktail sharpened with lime, chile heat, Worcestershire, and Maggi beneath a restrained salt rim.

Strength: 4% ABV before dilution

## Ingredients

- 15 ml [Fresh lime juice](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/fresh-lime-juice.md)
- 5 drops [Hot sauce](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/hot-sauce.md) — Use a thin Mexican table sauce with clean chile heat.
- 5 drops [Worcestershire sauce](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/worcestershire-sauce.md)
- 5 drops [Maggi Jugo seasoning](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/maggi-seasoning.md) — Use Maggi Jugo liquid seasoning, not a stock cube or soy-sauce substitution.
- 330 ml [Pale lager](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/pale-lager.md) — Use a very cold, crisp Mexican pale lager.

## Garnish

- Salt rim — Coat only half the rim so the drink can also be tasted without salt.

## Method

1. Coat half the rim of a chilled 568 ml pint glass with fine salt.
2. Fill the glass with cubed ice and add the lime juice and three seasonings.
3. Pour in the lager slowly to control the foam, then stir once gently.
