# Oriental Cocktail

Rye and sweet vermouth give this Savoy-era sour a Manhattan-like core, while dry orange curaçao and a full cut of lime pull it somewhere brighter and stranger.

Strength: 27% ABV before dilution

## Ingredients

- 45 ml [Rye whiskey](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/rye-whiskey.md)
- 22.5 ml [Sweet vermouth](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/sweet-vermouth.md) — Keep the opened bottle refrigerated and use it fresh.
- 22.5 ml [Orange curaçao](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/orange-curacao.md) — Use a dry, brandy-based orange curaçao.
- 15 ml [Fresh lime juice](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/fresh-lime-juice.md)

## Method

1. Shake all the ingredients with cubed ice until thoroughly chilled.
2. Fine-strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
