# Penicillin

A Scotch sour sharpened with lemon and ginger-honey syrup, finished with a smoky Islay float.

## Ingredients

- 60 ml [Blended Scotch whisky](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/blended-scotch-whisky.md)
- 22.5 ml [Fresh lemon juice](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/fresh-lemon-juice.md)
- 22.5 ml [Honey-ginger syrup](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/honey-ginger-syrup.md)
- 7.5 ml [Islay Scotch whisky](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/islay-scotch-whisky.md)

## Glassware

Old fashioned glass

## Garnish

- Candied ginger

## Method

1. Shake the blended Scotch, lemon juice, and ginger-honey syrup with ice.
2. Strain into an old fashioned glass over one large ice cube.
3. Float the Islay Scotch over the drink.
