# Picon Punch

Nevada’s Basque-American state drink layers robust bitter-orange amer, pomegranate, soda, and a brandy float into a compact, uncompromising regional highball.

Strength: 21% ABV before dilution

## Ingredients

- 45 ml [Ferino Amer](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/ferino-amer.md)
- 7.5 ml [Grenadine](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/grenadine.md) — Use a grenadine made with real pomegranate.
- 45 ml [Soda water](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/soda-water.md) — Use cold, freshly opened soda water.
- 15 ml [Brandy](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/brandy.md)

## Garnish

- Lemon twist — Express the peel oils over the drink, rub the rim, and retain the twist.

## Method

1. Fill a chilled Picon glass with cubed ice, add the amer and grenadine, and stir briefly.
2. Add the soda water, then float the brandy over the top.
