# Red Snapper

Gin botanicals drive this later savoury Bloody Mary branch through tomato, lemon, pepper, celery, and measured vinegar heat.

Strength: 12% ABV before dilution

## Ingredients

- 60 ml [London dry gin](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/london-dry-gin.md)
- 120 ml [Tomato juice](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/tomato-juice.md) — Use smooth 100% tomato juice rather than a prepared Bloody Mary mix.
- 15 ml [Fresh lemon juice](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/fresh-lemon-juice.md)
- 7.5 ml [Rich simple syrup](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/rich-simple-syrup.md) — Use a two-to-one syrup by weight.
- 4 dashes [Worcestershire sauce](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/worcestershire-sauce.md) — Traditional Worcestershire sauce contains fish and may contain gluten.
- 7 drops [Hot sauce](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/hot-sauce.md) — Use a thin, vinegar-forward red-pepper sauce.
- 2 pinches [Black pepper](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/black-pepper.md) — Use freshly ground black pepper.
- 2 pinches [Celery salt](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/celery-salt.md) — Contains celery.

## Glassware

Collins glass

## Garnish

- Salt-and-pepper rim — Coat only the outside half of the rim.

## Method

1. Moisten the outside half of a chilled Collins glass rim with citrus and coat it with equal parts fine salt and cracked black pepper.
2. Roll all ingredients gently with cubed ice between two shaker tins until thoroughly chilled without aggressively aerating the tomato juice.
3. Strain into the prepared glass filled with fresh cubed ice.
