# Salty Ginger-Ade

Date, lime, cumin, salt, mint, and spicy ginger beer make Kaitlyn Goalen’s serious zero-proof cooler earthy, tart, textured, and deeply refreshing.

## Ingredients

- 30 ml [Fresh lime juice](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/fresh-lime-juice.md)
- 1 whole [Medjool date](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/medjool-date.md) — Use one soft, pitted date.
- 1 pinch [Salt](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/salt.md)
- 1 pinch [Cumin](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/cumin.md) — Use freshly ground cumin seed.
- 180 ml [Ginger beer](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/ginger-beer.md) — Use non-alcoholic, cold, freshly opened ginger beer.

- Mint sprig — Use one fresh, aromatic sprig.

## Method

1. Combine the lime juice, date, salt, and cumin in a shaker and rest for five minutes.
2. Muddle until the date is pulverised, add cubed ice, and shake hard.
3. Pour unstrained into a chilled highball, add the ginger beer, and stir gently.
