# Sidewinder’s Fang

Jamaican and Demerara rums sit beneath equal lime, orange, and passion fruit in the Lanai’s long, carbonated cooler, crowned by a snake-like citrus spiral.

Strength: 10% ABV before dilution

## Ingredients

- 30 ml [Jamaican rum](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/jamaican-rum.md) — Use a dark Jamaican rum.
- 30 ml [Demerara rum](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/demerara-rum.md)
- 45 ml [Fresh lime juice](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/fresh-lime-juice.md)
- 45 ml [Fresh orange juice](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/fresh-orange-juice.md)
- 45 ml [Passion-fruit syrup](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/passion-fruit-syrup.md)
- 60 ml [Soda water](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/soda-water.md) — Use cold, freshly opened soda water.

## Glassware

Brandy snifter

## Garnish

- Orange spiral — Cut one long continuous peel and hook it over the rim like a coiled snake.
- Mint sprig — Use one fresh, aromatic sprig.

## Method

1. Shake every ingredient except the soda water with cubed ice until thoroughly chilled.
2. Strain into a chilled large brandy snifter, add the soda water, and stir once gently.
