# Up-to-Date

Equal rye and dry amontillado make a lean, nutty Manhattan relation in which orange liqueur and bitters work as seasoning rather than sweetness.

Strength: 30% ABV before dilution

## Ingredients

- 37.5 ml [Rye whiskey](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/rye-whiskey.md)
- 37.5 ml [Amontillado sherry](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/amontillado-sherry.md) — Use a dry amontillado and keep the opened bottle refrigerated.
- 7.5 ml [Grand Marnier](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/grand-marnier.md)
- 2 dashes [Angostura bitters](https://stirred.fyi/ingredients/angostura-bitters.md)

## Garnish

- Lemon twist — Express the peel oils over the drink and retain the twist.

## Method

1. Stir all ingredients with cubed ice until thoroughly chilled and diluted.
2. Strain into a chilled coupe.
