Equal dry gin and vermouth, a broad lemon peel, and absinthe make Harry Craddock’s 1930 Tuxedo branch austere, aromatic, and deliberately distinct from the sweeter original.

Ingredients
- Dry gin 45 ml
- Dry vermouth 45 ml Keep the opened bottle refrigerated and use it fresh.
- Absinthe 2 dashes
Preparation
- Add all liquid ingredients and one broad strip of lemon peel to a shaker with cubed ice.
- Shake until thoroughly chilled, then fine-strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
