Sazerac
Cognac, sugar, and Peychaud’s bitters served in an absinthe-rinsed glass.
Ingredients
- Cognac 50 ml
- Absinthe 10 ml
- Sugar 1 cube
- Peychaud’s bitters 2 dashes
- Glassware
- Old fashioned glass

Method
- Rinse a chilled old fashioned glass with absinthe, add crushed ice, and set it aside.
- Stir the cognac, sugar, and bitters with ice.
- Discard the ice and excess absinthe from the glass, then strain in the mixed drink.
