Joe Scialom's wartime Cairo highball, joining gin and brandy with lime cordial, aromatic bitters, and a bracing ginger-beer finish.

Ingredients
- Gin 30 ml
- Brandy 30 ml
- Lime cordial 15 ml
- Angostura bitters 2 dashes
- Ginger beer to top
Preparation
- Shake everything except the ginger beer with ice until well chilled.
- Strain into a Collins glass filled with fresh ice.
- Top with ginger beer and stir once gently.
