Hot Toddy

A spare whisky warmer softened with floral honey and scented with the oils of a broad lemon peel.

  • Lemon twist Express a broad peel over the drink, then drop it in.

Ingredients

  • Scotch whisky 60 ml Use a rich Highland or gently smoky Islay Scotch.
  • Honey 15 ml
  • Water 90 ml Use freshly boiled water.

Preparation

  1. Preheat an Irish coffee glass with hot water, then discard it.
  2. Add the honey and 30 ml of the freshly boiled water, then stir until dissolved.
  3. Add the Scotch and remaining 60 ml water, then stir gently.
