Mint Julep

A cold, fragrant bourbon drink in which mint and a little sugar open the whiskey without obscuring it.

  • Mint sprig Clap the mint gently before placing it beside the straw.

Preparation

  1. Gently muddle the mint with the sugar and water in a julep cup.
  2. Fill the cup with cracked ice, add the bourbon, and stir until the outside frosts.
  3. Crown with more cracked ice and serve with a short straw.
